Miramis prioritizes sustainability
For Miramis Sweden, a sustainable mindset is a matter of course and something we work actively with at all levels. In 2022, we received, together with our friends at Djurgården, the prestigious “Green Destination Award” from the organization “Green Destinations”. This is due to the successful sustainability work that Djurgården conducts in terms of, among other things, the environment and climate, culture and tradition and social sustainability as well as hospitality. We see this fine award as both a receipt and an inspiration to continue our important sustainability work in the future.

ISO Certification – 14001
As part of our sustainability work, Hasselbacken, Backstage and Cirkus has chosen to undergo an ISO Certification which refers to the group’s work towards reducing the total environmental impact. However, the ongoing work does not stop here. To maintain the certification, the venues needs to work with the sustainability work approved by the ISO certification on a daily basis.
Royal Djurgården’s sustainability work receives international recognition
Djurgården is one of the world’s most sustainable metropolitan destinations. This is according to the organization Green Destinations, which in 2022 gave its highest award, the Green Destinations Platinum Award, to Djurgården. The award is given to destinations that conduct successful sustainability work in a number of areas. The criteria include sustainable management, animals and nature, environment and climate, culture and tradition, social sustainability and hospitality. The criteria are based on the 17 sustainable development goals set by the UN within the framework of Agenda 2030.In an independent review, Djurgården’s sustainability work over the past six years is highlighted as “an inspiration for more metropolitan destinations that show that it is possible to work in a sustainable direction for these destinations as well.”
