Isolotto Beach Club
The Tuscan coast is peppered with beach clubs and bathing establishments, but few have the cachet of this exclusive enclave. Set on and above a pristine Argentario beach of sand and rocks, in a wild cove protected by the small, uninhabited island whose name it bears, Isolotto proves that nothing is as perfect as nature's simplicity. A sunbathe, a swim, a chilled drink, a plate of oysters, a seafood salad: of such things is paradise made.

The uninhabited island that the club is named after lies just offshore, seemingly placed for maximum scenic effect. Closer to hand lies a sandy strand protected by rocks that look like basking seals. As soon as you arrive in this haven of Tuscan taste and barefoot chic, you understand what it’s about. This is a place where you belong, and a little secret you want to keep to yourself.

The Beach Club’s restaurant and bar offers a Mediterranean menu that centres on grilled and raw fish and seafood, oysters, caviar, salads and gelato.

The decked al fresco dining terrace is a sanctuary of good taste, fine wine and champagne, tempting cocktails, one that lends itself equally to romantic tête-à-têtes and buzzy aperitivo hours.

The entire club, or sections of it, are bookable for events and celebrations.

PORTO ERCOLE
Ex Cirio
Opened in 1926, the former Cirio factory specialised in sardine and anchovy canning. For much of the 20th century, it was Porto Ercole's chief employer, and even after decades of abandonment, stands as a proud reminder of the Tuscan port town’s industrial heritage. Now it is soon to begin a new chapter. The architecturally striking wellness resort and culinary magnet will respect both the low, shore-hugging lines of its surroundings and its symbiosis with the town.
